Lorraine Duff Lorraine Duff is a largely self-taught IT aficionado, and works as a volunteer from home in the UK. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Charity for African Welfare and Development as a registered charity and has been with the Peoples-uni from day one. She provides the major IT support for the Moodle platform and for the students and tutors in the Peoples-uni.

Alan Barrett Alan Barrett received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin. Alan has worked in the computer industry in a variety of technical and managerial roles. His experience covers process control, networking software development, computer hardware development and operating system development. He was until recently director of technology in Lotus's international product development group (part of the IBM software group). He has now retired from IBM and is working on open source software as well as pursuing interests in windsurfing, mountain walking and consciousness studies. He lives in Dublin. |

David Wilson David Wilson obtained an Honours degree in Politics and Sociology, from the Flinders University of South Australia, and after a year of unemployment and fruit picking, a Graduate Diploma in Data Processing for the Caulfield Institute of Technology. He worked for twenty years in Information Technology for Telstra, Australia's biggest telecommunication company. At Telstra, his work covered many areas of support for computer systems operations. A while ago he completed a Masters of Arts in History at The University of Melbourne, Australia. He is a project Leader of the OpenOffice Bibliographic Project at bibliographic.openoffice.org. He has recently updated the Australian English spelling checker dictionary for OpenOffice, which will be included on OpenOffice 3.1. He lives in Melbourne. |
